History

ABT was founded in 1995 in Silverdale, Washington. In its early years, the company focused on supplying plastic surgeons with high-quality medical devices including a range of silicone based products. In 1998, ABT's founder Al Berlat Ph.D. patented the self drying advanced formula scar gel marketed worldwide as Kelo-cote.®

Corporate Milestones:

August 2009 -- bioCorneum+ is launched in the US

June 2009 -- ABT and Belli Skincare announce new partnership to enhance health and well-being for women

May 2009 -- ABT corporate headquarters relocates to Suwanee, Georgia.

October 2007 -- Kelo-cote® is launched in Brazil and Scandinavia.

May 2007 -- The majority shares of ABT are acquired by Health Edge Investment Partners, a leading Health Care fund in Tampa, Florida.

2006 -- ABT obtains FDA market clearance for the Spray Technology.

-- ABT launches a direct sales force in the US in 4 key markets to initiate a direct presence in the US market.

-- Kelo-cote® is launched in Mexico, Venezuela and China through our local marketing partners, all of whom are leading pharmaceutical companies in their respective countries.

2004 -- ABT develops the first and only silicone spray for the treatment of painful and sensitive widespread scars resulting from burns, trauma or surgery.

-- ABT signs exclusive agent agreement with Biowin to assist in the commercialization of select territories.

2000 -- ABT signs its first agreement with a marketing partner to commercialize Kelo-cote® in Israel.

1998 -- ABT obtains the patent on its unique silicone formula based on cross-linking technology for the treatment of abnormal scars.

1995 -- ABT is founded by Al Berlat in Silverdale, Washington.
